Funny how we are all different when I came back from Peterhead retired I bought a bmw s1000 rr then I got hooked on gsa adventure after nearly wipeing myself out on the s1000. But found the gsa too heavy with clunky gear change and a bit unreliable. Now I’ve a tiger 800 xca brill bike I can service it myself it’s everything the gsa wasn’t. I know my son in law won’t agree as he has the twenty grand all the toys gsa adventure.

Dave, I thoroughly enjoy your videos as your engaging style makes them a joy to watch and very much appreciate the effort that you put into them. I’d certainly miss them if you did stop but can totally respect your decision especially with everything going on in your life. Hi Dave. I (Diana) just turned 53 in June and thankfully no health issue and hopefully it will stay like this. I changed my diet 7 years ago to prevent as much as possible such as stroke/ heart attack etc. We have retirement plans and to do that we need our health. Changes to our lifestyle are never easy and needs dedication and constant reminder to yourself what you can eat and can't eat. You will get the hang of it 😀 I looked out for you at the ABR, but didn't see you. Would have loved to say Hi 😊 Look after yourself and stay healthy 💚

Hmmm. Would like install a stem mounted nav to my gen 4 BMW RR. Maybe the best way to go is install a BMW nav cradle and then use my BMW nav VI but this looks interesting too. I’d happily use my phone and google maps but worried about the bmw vibrations killing the camera stabilisation sensor…

Dave, There is also an AOI-5 Play version, it does the same as your AOI-5 Lite, but doesn't have the camera's which makes it cheaper. They are in also launching a BMW edition of the AOI-5 Play which will fit into the BMW cradle. Chigee customer service is excellent, FedEx Ireland lost my unit and Chigee have been extremely efficient helpful in sorting it. If only FedEx were as easy to deal with. Peter

Brilliant reviews on these systems. Love the channel. Might be an idea to compare and contrast on both the Chigee and Carpureride. Pros/cons in relation to price- installation-functionality etc.

Dave do you reckon you could fit it to a VFR and can you buy a second mounting kit for a second bike cheers Glenn.

This stuff is ok till you have no phone signal , ie when touring a few weeks ago I had no signal crossing switzerland because my package only included EU and Switzerland is not in it like us in the UK, so only as good as your phone and for that money you can get a dedicated sat nav .

Im staying with my 1200gs.

Age is a b@$£@rd I was fitter than a butchers dog then whallop high cholesterol and BP so im on meds for life 😢. Its a shock but 20 months on and BP is better than good, I'm fitter again and feeling great. Keep your chin up Dave, early days and you'll turn it around in no time. As for the channel why break something that works? Enjoy your rides and occasional review but most of all offer scenic views and inspiration for the watchers to get out and tour our beautiful wee countryside. (North and South)

I installed this system on my GS about two months ago and have been extremely happy with it. It just works!

Looks a great system Dave. I especially like the rear canera view on the screen and blind spot warning however until the unit can be removed from the bike ill give it a miss as some arsehole will knick it . Perhaps V2.0 will include that one day

I have had mine for about three months now. Unit replaced due to rear camera not working ( Not the camera itself). It is great but expensive though. To use with the BMW wheel is a god send and takes time to get used to it. I use Sygic app with mine love it as it will take GPX files and support is excellent from them costing little over a year. BTW the bmw can be changed to PSI your dealer can do it for you or via motoscan app or the GS911

Dave I’m glad you shared your thoughts on this. I watched the presentation live and was very taken aback by the very poor presentation. It was glaringly obvious that they made a mess of it. Anna I confirmed it when I watched it a second time. Anyway back to the bike. I do love the looks of it however I will not but a bike without a clutch. Let me say that again. I WILL NOT BUY A BIKE WITHOUT A CLUTCH LEVER! Not at this point in my life. They have to rectify that as other commenters have said here which I’m hoping is true the no clutch will be an option you pay more for. Anyway I love the look of the bike

Great review Dave, very interesting. Looks like a fantastic piece of kit. Blind spot warning is a top safety feature alone. I just got a Nav VI recently but the features on this has me thinking.

I tried ordering the carpuride version and heard nothing from them for over a month. After chasing them it transpired that they won’t post to the Isle of Man though they will accept your order with my address clearly shown as Isle of Man. I just hope these guys are more honest and reliable.

It doesn't have a DCT (Double Clutch Transmission) it's a standard box which is operated by actuators to provide the auto function. The bike does come standard with a clutch lever, the auto box (ASA) is a cost option.

As one Dinosaur to another I got it!!!!!!!Yippee!!!!! I would definitely buy this system were it not for the fact I fitted the Innov cameras front and rear. However this has more features and has got me thinking about changing! The blind spot detection system is worth it alone. Be well and catch you later.

I saw the 44 teeth video just before I watched yours. Mmmmm I don’t think I like the look of it at all! However I did look at LCR’s short video and I will have to reserve judgement until I see it in the flesh. 😂

Dave. Great review. Taking the time to show installation procedure is great. I am using the Carpuride 5 inch connected to my BMW stick gps mount. I love it, but unlike the Chiggee, it is not Wizzy Wheel. I can’t remember the last time rotated that wheel😅. Regards from Switzerland

Great bit of kit Dave but I’ll stick to just my Garmin xt2 keep up the great vids. Was thinking of upgrading my action 3 camera and mic to the action 4 with the action 2mic setup so no need for the receiver in the rain is that correct and would the flitters from the action 3 fit the action 4 ? Pls

Are you sure the bike wasn't dropped or wrecked? I'm not a owner of the older GS models but if I was I'd be super happy I didn’t sell my current GS for this one. Didn’t Germany go the same way with tanks in the old days?

I like it, and though no adventure bike is "good looking" the 1300 is no more or less offensive than the 1250 is/was. It's certainly a superior bike to the 1250 and having spent a lot of miles on the 1300GS, I speak from my own experience. I imagine many 1200/1250 owners will continue to own and enjoy them, but if they really think their bikes are good looking, I think it may be time to get professional help.

Did you see them have to ask the audience to cheer, because their initial response was silence... I'm getting tired of this I'll have to warm up to it/it'll grow on me stage with BMW. This is definitely their motorcycle divisions Chris Bangle era.

As a multiple BMW owner, I was okay with the 1300 GS. Yet, I was hoping BMW would react to its lukewarm warm reviews and make the adventure model better. In my opinion they went the wrong way. Hopefully it will grow on me but I’m afraid I will move to another brand before that happens.
